So Long, Farewell

A gorgeous sunrise followed by breakfast and the flights home. We missed vespers this morning since we had to leave for our flight. Vespers is basically a quiet reflective time that we had every Sunday evening at camp. The whole girls camp would hike to some rocks nearby as the sun set and sing songs and read quotes. And then just sit quietly. We always cried our eyes out at the last one since we knew we all had to leave each other soon. I can't stress enough how wonderful Sanborn Western Camps was for me. It made me a better person and a better friend. Most of all, it made me appreciate the simple things and it helped me learn to be independent. It's such a wonderful place and group of people, so much support and 65 years of history. I am in love with this Sanborn and can't wait to go back. Enjoy some of my camp pictures and better yet, my dad's.
