Number 4 is this Sunday. I'm getting pretty excited. And anxious of course. It's an amazing feeling to just wake up the morning of the marathon excited and ready to go and not really scared of the day ahead. This, of course, gets easier the more you do it. And it helps to have about 40,000 other people in the same shoes as you. We're all sort of doing this race together even if you're running by yourself. I have to say my favorite part of the race is the last 3 miles(ish) on Michigan Avenue when people are handing you candy and snacks and it gets very quiet and all you can hear is people's feet hitting the ground. So calming. I can't wait.
