Another dark night with the sunset well before its usual time. AJ and I went to iO for the first of Cook County's four reunion shows. It was amazing, as expected!! I used to think this was the best improv show in Chicago. Now that they're gone, Improvised Shakespeare is the best improv show in Chicago. In my opinion. But I wonder if younger performers and students see improv differently or have a different idea of what it should be or what is funny than I did back in 2004. Who knows. But it would be interesting to find out. Since most house teams/Second City shows consist of casts my age or younger, it's hard to know who to look up to. Especially since those people (Reckoning, Cook County, People of Earth, etc) have moved on or moved away.
