Brunching and beaching

Now that AJ lives further north, a quick trip to Evanston is pretty easy! We hopped on the red and then purple line to get brunch at Ten Mile House. My friend Allyson's cousin is the head chef! I had the buttermilk biscuits and AJ had the tostada benedict. So good! The restaurant also has a small donut shop next door. Yep, those are Fruity Pebbles. Sadly, they were not super crunchy. We went to the beach with is roomie and Annie and then they made dinner for us! Whitefish over lemon risotto with sweet potatoes. Man, I'm lucky. One more week of vacation until I'm back at work!
